Kay
Frances (Raymo) Eichorn, age 77, passed away January 1, 2016, at her home in
Valparaiso Florida. She was born in Gouverneur, New York on December 14, 1938.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth K. Eichorn, son, Bernard A.
Eichorn and daughter-in-law Christine, grandson Aaron D. Owens and wife Linda,
granddaughter Sheree Owens, three great granddaughters and one greatgrandson,
Brothers Carl and Wife Bonnie Raymo of Richville, NY, Paul and Wife Rose of
Tionesta, PA, and David and Wife Tracey of Tijeras, NM, as well as several
nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her son William Jay Eichorn and
daughter Juanita K. (Eichorn) Owens, her parents Bernard and Clarissa Raymo, and
sister Virginia (Raymo) Prashaw.
She was a homemaker supporting her husband and family during his 26 year
military career and 20 years of business career. She moved to Valparaiso in 1975
when her husband was assigned to Eglin Air Force Base. She was a farmer’s
daughter, raised on a dairy farm in Northern New York and then traveled with her
Husband to various assignments in the Air Force. She enjoyed bowling and golf
and became very skilled with home crafts while her husband was away. She was a
great cook providing meals with many secret ingredients. While she was not a
“joiner” in organized groups, she was very supportive in her husband’s Masonic
Fraternity and is widely known and respected in the Masonic Community,
especially in Florida. She was a friend to many and could be depended upon in
their hour of need. In lieu of flowers we suggest donations be made to Fort
Walton Beach Hospice.
